About the Event
This Easter, you are invited to join Sestina for an exciting course based on music of celebration from the European Baroque era. Led by specialist education facilitator Anne McCambridge, and supported by professional musicians, children will explore this fascinating music through singing, movement, visual art and drama. The course will take place over 3 days in the Ulster Museum, culminating in an informal performance for friends and family.
The course is aimed at children aged 7-11 who love singing, music, movement and being creative! No previous musical experience is required.
Our children’s projects are delivered with the same attention to detail as our main projects, focusing on imaginative and innovative ways of making early music accessible to younger singers.
"Wonderful performance. A great opportunity for the children to work alongside professionals and hear performances of a great standard. My child was really engaged with the whole process and came home singing after every session. The tutors were wonderful and inspired the children with their imaginative take on the material."
