Sestina Music celebrates the legacy of Irish carols in their 2025 Carols at Christmas programme.

Sestina Music returns this December with its much-loved Carols at Christmas concerts - a highlight of the festive season featuring some of Ireland’s finest choral singers.

This year’s programme celebrates the rich and historic legacy of Irish carols, weaving together music from the Kilmore Carols, Celtic chant, and traditional Irish folk tunes, alongside vibrant works and arrangements by leading contemporary composers from across the island.

​

Audiences can look forward to performances of music by Eoghan Desmond, Eibhlís Farrell, David Byers, Michael McGlynn, and Seán Doherty, as well as the premiere of the prize-winning carol from Sestina’s inaugural Allport Award for New Music.

​

Performed in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry, Carols at Christmas brings together voices and traditions from across Ireland in a celebration of music, heritage, and the spirit of the season.
