
Guest Artistic Director - Malachy Frame
Malachy Frame is an accomplished professional baritone whose solo roles include performances with outstanding ensembles such as English National Opera, the Britten Sinfonia, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Gabrieli Consort, the Academy of Ancient Music, the Ulster Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Northern Sinfonia, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His solo concert performances in 2025 alone include performances with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Three Choirs Festival, the Britten Sinfonia, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Gabrieli Consort, Apollo’s Cabinet, the Hanover Band, and Vache Baroque. 2025 also sees the release of three commercial recordings on which he appears as a soloist, and performances of two world premieres of works by Greg Caffrey and Diana Burrell.
An interest in and experience of directing, teaching and curating has been a feature of Malachy’s career, including work with the Hampstead Collective where he remains the Administrator, Nevill Holt Opera, directing a small consort of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Hampstead Parish Church, Sestina Music and as Choral Conductor 2016-2019 for Music In Offices, London. In the first decades of the 2000s, Malachy was President of the Cambridge University Symphony Orchestra and studied conducting at the Canford School of Conducting and in private conducting lessons with Gerry Cornelius having previously established, administered and directed a choir and a brass ensemble in his native Belfast in his teens.
