Bringing our 2026/27 season to a grand finale, we present Claudio Monteverdi's masterpiece, 'Vespro della Beata Virgine' (Vespers of 1610). This pioneering work is among the most important and influential pieces of classical music ever written, a milestone between the transition from the Renaissance to Baroque. The scale, style and splendour of this great work will make this an unmissable performance for all.

Under the direction of Malachy Frame, this concert will feature the professional singers and instrumentalists of Sestina Music, including our 2026/27 Next Generation Artists. For the first time we will also be performing alongside choristers from choirs across Belfast; St George's Parish Church, St Polycarp's Parish Church, and St Peter's Cathedral. A unique collaboration, we are proud to be bringing together generations of musicians in a celebration of this rarely heard music in Belfast.
